If you’re part of our Partner Program, you definitely know how to make compelling content.
That’s what grew your following and gave you a platform to share products like Soundstripe with your audience.
Kudos on that, btw.
But not every creator knows exactly how to promote Soundstripe once they join the Partner Program. And that’s cool. We don’t expect everyone to be master digital marketers.
If you find yourself asking questions like “Where should I include the Soundstripe affiliate link?” or “How should I talk about Soundstripe in my videos?” then this short guide is for you.
We’ll walk you through how to get more of your audience to click on the affiliate link, which means more of them will sign up for Soundstripe, which means you’ll make more money.
Most of the creators in our partner program use YouTube to publish content. So these tips are informed by data from hundreds of YouTube videos made by creators working as our partners.
Easy answer: all of them. The more videos that feature your link, the more people will click on it.
Putting the affiliate link in your video doesn’t necessarily mean you have to display it as a huge banner or even call it out in every video. There’s an easy, laidback way to promote your affiliate link.
Perfect segue...
The simplest way to feature your affiliate link is in the description of your video. Easy enough.
But how you should feature it is the more interesting question. Here’s how one of our longtime partners Matt Johson does it:
In every video, Matt has a list of his favorite sources of royalty free music. He just lists them in the description, and with Soundstripe, he callouts his coupon code so people know they can save 10%.
Here’s shorter example from MJ:
We’re using Matt as an example because he is consistently our highest referring partner — even though there are creators with larger audiences in our partner program.
Notice how Matt explicitly mentions his promo code, which makes it easier for anyone who uses the link to sign up and save.
Something else important: it’s cool to promote your Soundstripe affiliate link beside other music licensing sites that you use. WE DON’T CARE.
Though it would be rad if you put ours first.
(Joking...sort of.)
Either way, feel free to use Matt’s copy as a template.
You can use the exact format he does, and just replace his affiliate link with yours. That way you know you’re marketing the link in a way that works. And you don’t have to put too much thought into it.
If you really want to promote your partnership with Soundstripe and drive referrals, making a playlist video is probably a good idea.
A playlist video is just what it sounds like: a video about a playlist you made on Soundstripe.
Making the playlist is simple enough. Just go to the Soundstripe app and hover over “My Media” and you’ll see the “Playlists” option in the drop down.
Click and then hit “New Playlist” in the top right corner on the next screen.
Next, you’ll be prompted to choose a feature image, name the playlist, and create a brief description.
After that, you can start adding songs to your playlist.

Again, feel free to follow the same model Matt uses in this video. It’s a proven way to get more traffic to your affiliate link.
Misplaced your affiliate link? Don’t know where to get it in the first place? Here’s what you do:
Go to https://partnerships.soundstripe.com/login and login.
Once you’re in, you’ll see your dashboard, where you can track all your stats:
Once you're on the dashboard, scroll down and you'll find your affiliate link.
It looks like this:
You can customize it to have the URL say whatever you like. Then just hit "Copy" and you’re good to go.
