How do I stream in OBS Studio?
OBS Studio has two ways for you to capture Soundstripe's music from the Twitch extension. You can either broadcast the Desktop Audio channel (which is the default), or use a brand new feature called Application Audio Capture to isolate the audio from the browser window.
Open the Soundstripe Twitch extension: Open the browser that you would like to use for the Soundstripe Twitch extension while streaming. Login to www.twitch.tv, click on your Profile picture in the top right corner, and choose Creator Dashboard. Click on Stream Manager on the menu on the left. The Soundstripe extension should show up in the Quick Action menu on the right. Click it to open the extension. Login to Soundstripe and click any playlist or track to start playing some music.
At this point, you should be able to open OBS Studio and see that the Desktop Audio channel in the Audio Mixer panel at the bottom of the window is actively moving, indicating there is audio on the channel. If that channel is not muted and the levels are set appropriately, the music should be heard through the stream.
If you want to use an isolated Audio Channel: Open OBS Studio. Locate the Sources panel, and click on the + button. From the menu that appears, choose Application Audio Capture (BETA). On the Create/Select Source window, go ahead and give the source a name and click OK. On the Properties window, find the Window dropdown list, and choose the window with the title that is playing music. It will be the one with the words "Creator Dashboard" in it. Example: "[firefox.exe] Creator Dashboard -- Firefox Developer Edition". In the Window Match Priority list, select "Window title must match" and click OK. You should now have a new channel in your Audio Mixer panel where you can control the levels of the music playing from your browser.
After you start streaming, you can control the Music playback from the Twitch extension in the browser window, and the volume level and any effects from OBS Studio's Audio Mixer panel.
